George with his daughter Jen'ni

What happens to an artist's work when his love for one medium collides head on with the underwater world?

Meet George Ryan.

For the last 30 years he has devoted his every thinking moment into how to mix his love of metal, fish, and utmost appreciation for Archimede’s work with solids into one passion. In geometry an Archimedean solid is a highly symmetric, semi-regular convex polyhedron composed of two or more types of regular polygons meeting in identical vertices.

So how does that apply to fish tanks?
It's a revolutionary way to apply old school thinking to a new way to display fish like no other artist or aquarium has accomplished. George has been cultivating his skills at metal working with masters from all walks of life in industries that range from surgical stainless steel fabrication to highly complex aluminium davit lift structures on super yachts.

With a background in drafting and his acquired metal working skills, George put pen to paper and began designing ways to show the world fish in a multifaceted array. The Illusion, his premier debut tank, not only allows viewing from different angles and all heights, but allows fish to seemly multiply in the number of fish views never accomplished in any aquarium before.

Over thirty years ago George designed a geometric fish tank, with 360-degree viewing, and proudly displayed it in his shop where he manufactured standard aquariums that you see in every big box store in America and beyond. He looked fondly at his first geometric tank with hopes of sharing that dream with the rest of the world.
